WSC Distinctive Builders LLC is a family-owned company known for excellence in building custom, finely crafted, architecturally designed homes in Central Alabama and Lake Martin for decades. Kevin Shubird, President, has over 35 years of building experience and is an award-winning expert in both new construction and remodeling.
Kevin’s journey in homebuilding began as an apprentice with a renowned Texas home builder while still in high school. His talent for building was apparent early on. After earning a B.S. degree in Business from Auburn University, Kevin returned to his passion for homebuilding. He holds the designations of Certified Graduate Builder and Certified Graduate Remodeler through the National Association of Home Builders. Kevin’s extensive career includes building over 240 homes, 6 commercial buildings, remodeling over 300 homes, and completing more than 200 fire and water restoration projects.
Setting the standard in excellence, Kevin has twice been listed among the top 500 remodelers in the nation. His accolades include the National Chrysalis Award, Alabama Remodeler of the Year, Home Builder’s State Remodeler of the Year Award, the New Construction Home Builder of the Year Award, and numerous Builder Excellence Awards.
Service to the Industry
Kevin formerly served as President of the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association and the State Chairman of the Remodeler’s Council of Alabama. Kevin is active in the Rebuild America program and the Great Day of Service.
